Talkin’ Tropics is Coming Back 1

Way back in 2004, with the help of a lot of people, I started an internet radio program called “Talkin’ Tropics”. During the over 3 year run of the show, I was fortunate to interact with some great people as we talked about some historic hurricane seasons during 2004 and 2005.

Work and life got in the way, and in early 2007 the show came to an end. But, after almost 6 years (and one significant career change) later, I have decided to bring it back.

The relaunch is in the works now. I am not completely sure when the first show will be uploaded, but I doubt it’s more than a month away. I have some stuff to do to bring everything together, and I am looking forward to talking (and hopefully working) with key people who helped make the show what it was…a great collaborative effort.

In the mean time, I have found archives from the 2004, 2005 and 2006 seasons with interviews with hurricane legends like Dr. Chris Landsea, Dr. William Gray, Dr. Jeff Masters, Max Mayfield, Stacey Stewart, Dr. Jack Beven, colleague Mark Sudduth, Joe Bastardi, Phil Klotzback and countless others. I will start uploading some of them soon. Stay tuned and I hope you will tune in when the new shows come back.
